Welcome
Welcome to the Ultimate Cluster Comparison Project (UCCP) site. The goal of the project is to compare high-resolution simulations of a Virgo-sized cluster with most of the actively used cosmological N-body+gasdynamics codes in order to assess the existing systematics in cosmological cluster simulations.
The project currently includes the following codes and people:
- Gadget-2 TreePM+SPH code. Gustavo Yepes (Universidad Autonoma, Madrid), Stefan Gottloeber (AIP, Potsdam)
- Gadget-2 TreePM+SPH code with additional physics (low-viscosity scheme, conduction, etc.) Klaus Dolag (MPA, Garching), Stefano Borgani (Trieste), Volker Springel (MPA, Garching)
- RAMSES eulerian AMR code. Romain Teyssier and Dominique Aubert (Saclay and Horizon Project, France)
- ENZO eulerian AMR code. Greg Bryan (Columbia University)
- GASOLINE TreeSPH code. Andrea Maccio, Ben Moore, (University of Zurich), James Wadsley (McMaster University, Canada)
- FLASH eulerian AMR code. Paul Ricker (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign/NCSA)
- Adaptive Refinement Tree (ART) eulerian AMR code. Andrey Kravtsov, Douglas Rudd (Institute for Advanced Study), Daisuke Nagai (CalTech)

History
Collaboration and project were formed at the Horizon workshop at the Columbia University in New York City in December 2005 and at the XXVIth Astrophysics Moriond Meeting in La Thuile, Italy in March 2006.
